{"id":2053,"date":"2017-07-03T09:50:57","date_gmt":"2017-07-03T16:50:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/andyant.com\/?p=2053"},"modified":"2017-04-04T15:43:27","modified_gmt":"2017-04-04T22:43:27","slug":"the-big-4th-in-the-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/andyant.com\/?p=2053","title":{"rendered":"The Big 4th in the Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I always look forward to the big city picnic on the 4<sup>th<\/sup> of July.\u00a0 We go to the park right after a quick lunch and swim for a couple of hours in the big public pool.\u00a0 It seems like almost every kid in my school is there.\u00a0 I am not the best swimmer but I get by.\u00a0 I like jumping off the diving board and going down the giant slide.\u00a0 What a blast!\u00a0 Midafternoon we play group games with our parents.\u00a0 All the parents try to beat us but we kids always win.\u00a0 The older kids and some of the adults usually play baseball for a couple of hours.\u00a0 Late in the day there is a big picnic where every family brings food.\u00a0 We eat until we are stuffed.\u00a0 The best part of the day starts about 9 pm.\u00a0 The city puts on a huge fireworks show that seems to last forever. I like to lay on the grass and look up at the sky and watch as the fireworks go off.\u00a0 Andy told me last year he did not want to go with me this year.
