Yes, life is busy.\u00a0 Most of us feel we need to multitask just to survive.\u00a0 I watched a father the other day spend some \u201cquality time\u201d at a park with a young son about eight years old. Sadly, the dad was not engaging his son.\u00a0 He was physically there but he was many miles away emotionally and mentally.\u00a0 The entire time they were together for \u201cquality time\u201d he was talking on his phone, texting, or playing on his phone.\u00a0 His young son was off playing by himself without even a friend to help occupy his time.<\/p>\n

Your kids need you! \u00a0They need you to ask questions and to listen, play on the floor, hike a hill, or talk about life issues that are important to the child.\u00a0 Do your child a favor.\u00a0 When you set aside time for your child turn off your distractions.\u00a0 Do what is important to your child, not what is important to you.<\/p>\n
