Band Concert in the Park

School will be out for the summer in two weeks.  I can’t wait to be finished.  Had a surprise today.  My band teacher announced we had been chosen to play a band concert at the city park bandstand in two weeks.  This is going to be fun.  Everyone visiting the park will hear us. I know I have to do some extra practice so I don’t mess up my trumpet solo.  I think this year will end on a high note!  I am going to take Andy so he can hear my band play.

The Swimming Disaster Copy

What do you like to do in the summer when it’s hot outdoors?  Andy Ant loves to swim, but his pool is very different from the place where his best friend, Joey, swims.  Andy had quite an adventure one day when he went along with Joey’s suggestion to swim without Andy’s brother, Parker, there with him.

Because they both disobeyed instructions by their parents, Andy was almost lost forever.  To read about this adventure, you will want to order a copy of The Swimming Hole Disaster (your mom or dad can buy this adventure by clicking on the title and ordering you a copy today).

Rolling Through

One Saturday morning Andy Ant and Joey decide to ride Joey’s bike to a friend’s house to hang out and play some video games.  As usual, Andy was sitting on Joey’s bike’s handlebar (Andy learned awhile back that he could go more places faster by riding with Joey than by walking).  Joey was in a hurry.  He failed to stop at a stop sign—you might say he “rolled through” without coming to a stop.

As he turned to the right without stopping, a car came speeding down the street.  This spooked Joey, and he lost his balance.  Down he went onto the street.  Joey and Andy were not hit by the car, but it was a close call.  Joey’s knee and elbow got scraped…but wait!  All of a sudden, Joey realized that Andy had disappeared.  Andy was nowhere to be found!

The Band Music Mystery

Learning to play an instrument is always fun.  As fourth graders, Joey and Andy both play in their school bands.  Joey plays the trumpet, and Andy plays the tuba.  Andy’s sister, Angelica, plays the flute. Band practice is three days a week right after school is out.

Find out how an unexpected adventure takes place when Joey “borrows” his neighbor’s music to practice for concert band, and Andy gets lost in a most unusual place.  If it wasn’t for Joey, Andy would still be lost.  To get the full story, you will need to get The Band Music Mystery in late 2014. In the meantime, guess where Joey eventually finds Andy!

Mower On the Loose

Who is your best friend?  Andy’s best friend is a boy named Joey.  I know, it sounds a bit strange.  It’s not too common for a fourth grade ant and a fourth grade boy to be best friends.

Andy and his family live in an underground condo that is under the front steps of Joey and his family’s home.  Since they live so close to one another, almost every day Andy and Joey end up having an unexpected adventure together.

On the first day that they met each other, a lawn mower on the loose almost mowed down the Grand Ant soccer team.  You need to get the Lawn Mower on the Loose book to find out how they met and what happened to the soccer team that day (your mom or dad can buy this adventure by clicking on the title and ordering you a copy today).
